Watching these kids change over time just wows me. The Salyer kiddos – they wow me even more. I can’t get over how 1) fast these two kids are growing up and 2) how much they look alike. Sure, they have little pieces of mom and dad that I recognize, but Reagan looks so much like big brother Reece. She’s still got those full cheeks, but there’s so many similarities… too many similarities.
And Reece – I remember when he was still a little guy – he has the same smile he wore at 6 weeks. Only a bit wider. And now he’s telling stories on the fly, telling me about things I didn’t know existed… totally wowed. I mean, in just a year’s time… both of them are so… so much… bigger.
I’m sure Malana and Neil feel the same, watching their sweet babies become little people. But being an outsider looking it, I get to watch my sweet friends become even more in love with these little people. It’s the best part about doing what I do.
Baby girl smiles – Reece doesn’t. Story of my life. But I love this one. ♥
Those freckles. I can’t help but smile at them.
And Miss Reagan – I can’t believe she’s already one year old.
Sweet cheeks. Sweet curls. Sweet little hands. Too much sweetness.
So I have to admit that this photo session with the Salyers flew by fast. And I had some requests along the way that were met. But I didn’t realize until I got home that there was a bit of a “Reece Show” going on. Reagan had started to check out (as most one-year-olds do), but little man was into it and still smiling away. So forgive me. But he was just too darn cute and too darn excited about the possibility of seeing a train that I had to share these!
I mean, come on! Kid was on top of the world for a few minutes!
Malana and Neil, thank you for allowing me to spend so much time with your kiddos! I loved our field trip into downtown LaGrange and all the conversations I got to have with Reece along the way. I can’t believe how fast he’s turned into a little boy – and I can’t believe he’s already telling stories like he is. He’s a smarty-pants for sure. :) Give them love and hugs for me – and do the same for your parents as well! And you guys – keep doing what you’re doing. :) xoxo
