It’s hard to believe that there were even 30 days in September. I mean, THEY FLEW BY! One minute it’s summer and the next it’s the end of summer. What happened?
Even so, it was a wonderful 30 days filled with time spent with friends, dancing, celebrating, new things and Instagram love.
My long-time friend Kelly Jo married her honey, Phil – we drove through a monsoon to get to her little farm wedding and I danced the night away with my favorite high school girlfriends, my amigas. I love them more than ever now and am so proud of everything that they do. And we went to our first soccer game – Louisville’s facility is super nice and the game was fantastic. The Cardinals beat the then ranked Notre Dame 1-0. There were a few weekends where I met up with some friends to take pictures of their growing kiddos. I’ve started experimenting in Lightroom. I ordered new prints from Artifact Uprising (LOVE THEM!), I had surprise donuts, not-so-surprised cookies [I bought for myself], I keep growing more fonder of my co-workers, I’m part of a new documentary photographers group… whew, that’s a lot… oh, an there was…
Louisville football! Oh how I have missed you!
We only had two home games in September, against Charlotte and FSU. Both were full of surprises! Charlotte brought fantastic weather with them and then Louisville had eight TDs on the board before the half. FSU brought rain with them… but it was a special day because ESPN Game Day came to Louisville for the first time! We were in our seats early, the fans were AMAZING, the stadium was SO LOUD and the kids CRUSHED IT. If you follow college football at all I’m sure you’re growing tired of hearing about Lamar Jackson, but this kid is spectacular to watch. Having him paired with a good offense and a strong defense… this team is going places. And they’ve made this football season one to remember. Go Cards! L1C4!
